This oolong tea is grown in Taiwan, where it has been the dominant type of tea since the early 20th century.
Oolong tea is made from leaves that are withered, shaken, and twisted to break them apart. This breaks down the leaves into more flavourful smaller particles that are then rolled into long strands.
Reusing tea leaves: Oolong tea leaves are traditionally steeped multiple times, five being the recommended maximum, producing new flavours with each subsequent brew.
With the first steeping, taste the tea at 1 minute and then every 30 seconds until it is to your liking. When you have chosen your steeping time, add a further 30 seconds to each subsequent steep.
