Clanwilliam Rooibos is an aromatic, tasty herbal tea that is naturally caffeine free. Rooibos is named after an area of South Africa where the original commercial cultivation of the plant took place. The green leaves are like fine needles from the Aspalathus Linearis, the leaves are harvested and fermented which is a process that changes the leaves from green to deep red. The resultant Rooibos leaves produce a very characteristic flavour and sweet aroma.
