Lapsang Souchong
This Lapsang Souchong tea is an acquired taste, the flavour created by drying leaves over smoking pine or oak wood. The name Lapsang Souchong derives from the Fuzhou dialect: La (pine) Sang (wood) with souchong meaning "small sort" referring to the leaves used. This style of tea is believed to have been created in China in 1646.
